Lloydminster, AB ? The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce they have signed forward Mason Hendrickson from Minnetonka High School. Hendrickson, who stands at just over six feet tall had 19 assists and 24 points last season in the Minnesota High School Hockey League. Hendrickson brings size, smarts, and the ability to create plays offensively while being a reliable two way forward which he showcased throughout his senior year at Minnetonka and while playing with Team CCM where he added another six assists.
A familiar name in the hockey world, his father Darby Hendrickson had a very successful playing career in the National Hockey League and is currently the Assistant Coach with the Minnesota Wild. Mason grew up around the game and at the rink. Bobcats director of US Scouting found Mason this winter and said, ?Mason is a good two-way forward that we feel has some hidden offensive talent. He is coming from a great high school program that has produced many NCAA Division 1 caliber players in the last few years. With that, we know Mason had great coaching and been surrounded by a winning culture. We hope he can come into his own with the Bobcats and also contribute to our desired culture.?
The Bobcats Organization would like to welcome the Hendrickson Family and are excited to see Mason in a Bobcats jersey when the season opens in the September.
